Book review for Demon Bayou

In the second book of the Waves in Darkness series Viktor Brandewyne, a pirate turned vampire, continues his search for the second Sister of Power. Only she can help free him from the vengeful curse beset by a very powerful witch.
This journey brings him to the bayou country not far from colonial New Orleans where he has to face many unexpected dangers that lurk in the black waters. The Sister he is looking for is safely hidden by an ancient demon and Victor needs to overcome all obstacles to find her. Is this most feared pirate, the so-called Bloody Vik Brandee, able to cope with such difficult struggles? Is he going to offer a helping hand to his first mate Belladonna in spite of her uncontrollable hunger for his crew?

This book is full of excitement from beginning to end. The storyline is creative, refreshing, and very well written. Demon Bayou is definitely one of the books that will not be far from the reader’s mind long after the last page has been turned.
